This column may be the last one before the fourth anniversary of Around the Grid, so I still haven’t caught up yet with where I was planning on being.  But I’m getting there!  For the next-to-last special Koinup edition, I have six newcomers and a seventh from a previous artist that I just can’t ignore.

=====

First, a double by Aelin Quan, which I consider to be something of a diptych as they have been worked in post-processing the same way from appearances.  They give the same feeling that I can’t quantify, can’t define, but it’s something that speaks to me.  That’s what is vital.

More after the break….

“HivaOa Insoo” found a new look for the little church on J Peace Island, along Route 66.  The quality of the work here makes it look like sunset out on the plains, with one of these little rural churches that you can see along so many highways across America.

=====

anna Anton brings us Unspoken, a lovely nude that lives up to its name.  I’ll admit I’m not one to talk, judging by the few nude shots I’ve done; but anna shows that nudes don’t have to have everything out there in blatant sight.  She achieved this by shooting through a lace curtain, or by adding on the lace as a post-processing semi-transparent layer.

=====

Innsmouth 2 was shot by Shmoo Snook.  There may be little to this foggy cityscape that makes you think it great; but add in a little knowledge of the Lovecraft Mythos that the town of Innsmouth figures in, and a simple foggy town becomes a place of mystery and foreboding.  (It should be notes that I take no responsibility for your sanity if you choose to go look at this picture.  And if you think It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Fish Men, well, that’s your affair….)

=====

marcus_008 is by “SiviKe,” and was not submitted to the group.  This is how I usually find works for Contact Sheet, by stumbling across them in moments of lovely serendipity.  I belive that this may be an old picture Sivi had in her files and just published, but it reminds me of a build that I don’t think is around anymore….

=====

Wise Sandalwood is the returning artist here, with the very descriptive wasting-time-on-a-friday.  According to her description, Wise was bored and messing around, and came up with this combination.
