Moonlight   2 comments

There’s some interesting things at the current events and the Fantasy Faire, but I decided to dip into my back Inventory, and stumbled across this dress. Conan was kind enough to serve as mon bel amour for a shot (well, he does live in Québec), and here we are.

Moonlight becomes you
It goes with your hair
You certainly know
The right thing to wear

Moonlight becomes you
And I’m thrilled at the sight
And we could get
So romantic tonight

You’re all dressed up
To go dreaming now
Don’t tell me I’m wrong
And what a night to go dreaming
Mind if I tag along?

Moonlight becomes you
And I want you to know
It’s not just because there’s moonlight
Although
Moonlight becomes you so

“Moonlight Becomes You,” music by Jimmy Van Heusen, lyrics by Johnny Burke. © by Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC

I first learned of this song on a program which was showing pieces of various musical moments from classic movies; it might have been That’s Entertainment, but I don’t think so. In any case, Bing Crosby was singing this song to, of course, Dorothy Lamour on the Road to Morocco:
