Linden Endowment for the Arts Announces Hiatus – StrawberrySingh.com   Leave a comment

I’m not happy about the closing myself; but hopefully they’ll be reopening as soon as possible.  Second Life isn’t just about fashion and sex, I promise any non-Residents who read this blog, no matter the reputation gained back in the Era of the Great Hype.  Many of us try to just plain create something beautiful out of this world we can shape to our skill and desire, and the LEA has been instrumental in fostering this.

The Linden Endowment of the Arts (LEA) was established to help create a center of arts activity in Second Life. It is a collaborative venture between Linde…

I’m working on sorting and paring down Inventory again — 11 years, and I still haven’t broken 100,000, believe it or not — so here’s a piece that caught my eye, written by Linnda Scofield.

Flashback To The 70’s At Collabor88! | Seraphim.   Leave a comment

Collabor88, judging by the photos at Seraphim, looks to be the best I’ve seen in several months.  I can already hear my wallet groaning open, and I haven’t even tried to teleport into the cam regions yet!  There is a Seventies theme to this month, although some stores are going their own way, such as r2 and the building creators.  It’s all worth a look, and be prepared to make a deposit to your linden account.  You’ll be hard-pressed to not buy half the place!  Click on the link below to go to Seraphim’s article, and check out the photos.  (Incidentally, the article author squeezed in 88 photos [grin] ….)

If anyone’s looking for some help in styling their avatar, read this article by Berry Singh!  It can be a hard job — I tried it once for someone else, and we never quite jelled together.  But it has its fulfillments as well.

Ebbe Altberg Town Hall Meeting Ebbe Altberg At Town Hall Meeting

Here are some of the updates that I found most interesting in simple terms during the recent town hall event with Ebbe Altberg the CEO of Linden Lab on Thursday 13th September 2018.

To see the whole video of the Town Hall session, see my previous blog post. It’s definitely worth watching. I hope there will be many more Town Hall sessions in the future with more announcements.

1. Return of Last Names

Linden Lab set a goal to return last names in Second Life in 2018. It’s now probably going to be returning either at the end of 2018 or sometime in 2019. There is no date when it will be deployed but the team are on it.

2. Animesh

It’s apparently very close to release and the Environment Enhancement Project is close to public testing very soon.
