Collabor88, judging by the photos at Seraphim, looks to be the best I’ve seen in several months. I can already hear my wallet groaning open, and I haven’t even tried to teleport into the cam regions yet! There is a Seventies theme to this month, although some stores are going their own way, such as r2 and the building creators. It’s all worth a look, and be prepared to make a deposit to your linden account. You’ll be hard-pressed to not buy half the place! Click on the link below to go to Seraphim’s article, and check out the photos. (Incidentally, the article author squeezed in 88 photos [grin] ….)
Jem and Diana arrived on board the starbase at my invitation for a girls’ night yesterday, full of questions over my call to them. In reply, I showed them up to the station’s upper level in the “quarters” sector, and through a roundel door into the answer. “Behold, mesdames.”
Both my friends glanced around, until they lit on the screen and control panel. “A holodeck?” Jem asked.
Where do you find them? Why at this list of places, of course! If you’re planning on some Christmas gifts for friends and loved ones, go down this list and see if there are any stores listed that they love.
And, if you have a Plurk account and know of one that hasn’t made it on the list, be sure to add it!
Welcome to the beginnings of what may be a permanent dormitory section of my starbase! The main regions below don’t have room for the approximately fifty people that usually work at Tulla ‘niFalon Starbase, so some sleeping arrangements needed to be provided. Brenda Hoisin and Exosphere recently came to the rescue on this, with X-Walls, a set of modular panels that can be assembled into any type of room you may desire, either on the ground or in orbit.
It isn’t often I write about something that’s just been released. But, after getting the notice from Sascha’s Designs and stopping in to look at it — and also spending some very nice time chatting with Sascha Frangilli and a pair of Dutch visitors — I decided that this was so good that it was definitely worth talking about. The only trick was what hair to wear with the magnificent jacket.
Doesn’t look like much here, does it, if you focus on just the blue undershirt and the white pants? (In this color choice, there’s also a pink top; but I favor red hair, as you know.) It’s the dressy jacket that makes this iteration of the outfit so nice — one of the nicest dress jackets I’ve seen yet in my fashion history in world.
I finally headed to XStreetSL a few hours ago to do a little shopping. But the first thing I did, after my fortnightly purchase of lindens, was to transfer some cash over to the XStreet account. And, wonder of wonders, I didn’t have to hunt down an XStreet terminal…especially at XStreet headquarters (such a pain that was!).
In case you haven’t heard, Linden Lab has set things up now so that you can do a simple transfer between your master linden account in Second Life and your XStreet account. Just click on Transfer under Inworld L$ Balance in My Marketplace, tell it how much you wish to transfer, and let it do its voodoo. Then go spend it all.
I didn’t quite do the latter, but I did move L$2,000 with no hassle at all, no rezz time, and no hunting for a terminal in an out-of-the-way corner of the property. It let me find the elements of my Saint Patrick’s Day morning outfit with no problems at all. Why not give it a shot and see how it makes your XStreet life so much easier?
