Party Here, Party There, Everywhere

…On disco lights, your name will be seen
You can fulfill all your dreams
Party here, party there, everywhere
This is your night, baby, you’ve got to be there….

It’s Friday again, and time to party!  And how do you do so?  Well, it all depends on what you want to do and where you want to go.  How do you party?  For some, familiar tried-and-true stuff, like big bands and waltzes are the route to release and romance.  For others, though, they want something a little more…relaxed.  And you probably can’t get much more relaxed — legally — than at Club Zero, featured right now in the opening screen guide; it’s a place where the music runs from new wave to industrial, the avatars don’t have to be human (as you can see from the white dragon getting down behind me), and you can dress as you like.  (Or undress, apparently, if you prefer; it’s an adult sim, and there are “cheeky” warning signs scattered through the club.)

I decided to go for my Alien Princess look, and put on my gold skin; but the rest is simply pretty party wear.

Myself, I don’t do “undress formals” in public. Instead, when it’s a Party, I throw on a party dress. This one is a lovely, sexy and feminine little thing from PurpleMoon, in a delicious shade of blue that I love; one-shouldered and deliciously clingy over the top, and short, flirty skirt with a lacy flounce sewn in beneath. Just the thing to show off my legs in my favorite silver stockings, and a pair of new heels from Danielle, studded with gemstones all the way up the vamp to the counter of the shoes.

At a Party, you should glitter.  Of course, I’m glittering already; but I went for a stonier shine as well.  The trick, of course, is to know where to stop, to draw the line between beautiful excess and just plain stupid excess.  My philosophy for Parties is to go for a heavyweight suite that matches or complements the color of the dress.  Here, I have a lovely Eighties-style necklace of big sapphires and diamonds, with matching bracelets, rings and earrings.  (There was a tiara as well, but that would be too much at a Party, except at certain places and times.)  A grace note is the ring from Finesmith I picked up, along with a bunch of similar ones, at yesterday’s L$55 sale.  As a counterpoint to the gold skin, I set all the jewelry to silver, which also matches my stockings.  Throw my compacts and lipstick into a gem-studded silver clutch, and I’m set!

And, speaking of makeup, to complete the look, blue-and-silver eyeshadow, liner and combo lipstick, along with a silver wig no longer available.  Now where’s that DJ?  I’ve got a request!

…Girls, y’all got one
A night that’s special everywhere
From New York to Hollywood
It’s ladies night and girl the feeling’s good….

…Girls, y’all got one, what?
A night that’s special everywhere

So chic so fine you all look so divine….
