Summertime, and the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high
Oh, your daddy’s rich and your ma is good-lookin’
So hush, little baby, don’t you cry
“Summertime,” lyrics by DuBose Heyward and Ira Gershwin
One of the things I don’t like about living in the South is the heat in the summer. As I always say when someone thinks I’m insane for wanting to move back to Michigan year round, “You can dress for the cold. You can’t undress for the heat — legally.”
Well, at least you can dress as lightly as possible; that helps a little. This outfit by Liziaah does the trick quite nicely.
